Important information from
Village

Thurlow WI

Thurlow WI met for their November meeting on Zoom. The speaker was Belinda Johnson, a retired vet, who has set up a charity called Companion Animals. She explained how important animals were to the lonely and people suffering from dementia. The charity works closely with medical staff and social workers who put them in touch with needy people. They then organise visits for them from suitable people with their pets.

President Helen Bennett then asked members to think about writing their experiences of living through the lockdown to make a scrapbook for the Margaret Hitchcock Competition.
Dawn Abbey was presented with a WI Doll in appreciation of her ten years of service being in turn Treasurer, President, and Secretary
It is hoped that we can have a cake stall at the December Farmers Market.

Dawn and Caroline Greatbatch will deliver the Christmas Gifts to the over the eighties in the village.
We meet again on the 8th of December for Santa Claus and all things festive.
