Jill and Barry Steele live at Amberley Grange, having moved to Lt. Thurlow from Surrey four years ago.
Barry is a retired civil servant who was born on the Isle of Sheppey, while Jill was born in Malta. They are both involved in village activities, being on the village hall committee and St. Peter’s Church P.C.C. They belong to Gt. Bradley gardening club, and play carpet bowls for Thurlow. Barry also plays outdoor bowls and is a member of Probus (professional and businessmen’s) national luncheon club for those retired. Jill’s main interest is music, both composing and playing, and she is a member of Thurlow W.I. (“wild indians”, as Barry calls them). They both enjoy gardening and are wild-life enthusiasts, reserving a plot on their garden to encourage this.
They are very happy to have found this most welcoming place where there is much going on for them to enjoy and within easy reach of both Bury St. Edmunds and Cambridge.
